Greetings Heaven-bound Saints and Friends,
Every day, God’s special angels are escorting His children home to heaven.
“Theo, thank you so much for allowing me to escort Mrs. James home to heaven when it’s time. I have been assigned to her so many times since she was born that I feel like family.” “I know how much she has come to mean to you over her lifetime, Samuel. I recall when God first sent you to comfort her. Born in a hospital without a roof because the storm had ripped it off. There she was, lying in the incubator six weeks premature, with a little oxygen hose and wires connected to her tiny body. Little did the nurses in the hospital know that while there were angels painted on the neonatal room walls, a real angel was present!” “Theo, while we do not know everything like God does, there just seemed to be something especial about her even as she lay there helpless in the hospital. Maybe that is why her parents named her, Hope.” “At this point, Samuel, I can see why you would have thought so. Not many days later, she and her mother were to be released from the hospital when they found that Hope was missing! Recall, it was discovered that a lady dressed as a nurse put Hope in a laundry cart and was going to make off with her! Do you happen to know how that plot was foiled, Samuel?” “Ha-ha! Of course I do, and you do, too! God sent me to keep Hope safe by blocking the door where the lady was trying to sneak out. In moments, the police were there and Hope was back with her mother.” “If I remember correctly, Samuel, it was not long before Hope was walking.” “Walking! She was running! – right in front of a speeding car to save her dolly!” “Only a few of us know how that car ever missed hitting her that day.” “Not much time had passed, and Hope was driving her own car.” “Yes. Like the night she and a friend were driving home. Her heart was filled with more love than her car had gas. Of all places to run out of gas, why did it have to be the railroad crossing? The red lights started flashing, the rails came down on her car, you could hear the train’s horn blasting as it was barreling toward them so fast! I remember the expression on Hope’s face when her friend told her that she saw a man push the car across the tracks. Ha-ha!” “Oh, I wonder who that was, Samuel? Ha-ha!”
“Not too long afterward, she became Mrs. Hope James. They told their parents they were going to be missionaries, to which both sides of the families appeared to be pleased. After all, both families had been missionaries for the Lord. But when Hope and her husband announced it would be to the Amazon that they were going, the parents were not as enthused. But they gave them their blessings and said, ‘God’s will be done.’ As Hope and her husband were faithful to God, the ministry flourished among the people. The Bible was even translated into their language.”
“Samuel, do you recall the time Hope was pregnant and thought it would be a good idea to play Mary, in Luke chapter 2, to help reenact the birth of Jesus?” “Theo, I will never forget that incident. She talked her husband into playing Joseph. Since they had no donkey to ride, Hope thought she and Joseph would use a canoe and cross the river into the village. That’s when the real live ten-foot crocodile bit their canoe! Joseph smacked the crocodile with the oar, Hope fell into the water, and God said, ‘Go help Hope, Samuel!’ As Hope and her husband stood on the river bank dripping wet, the chubby native boy ran down to them on cue and said in his native language, ‘There’s no room in the inn!’ They had many good years of serving God there. And they continued serving Him in the church when they returned.” “Samuel, God said it’s time to escort Mrs. Hope James home to heaven!” “I’m on my way, Theo!”
Are there angels in heaven talking about how God sent them to you at just the right time? When you’ve needed comfort? When you’ve been in danger? Perhaps, you’ve never noticed how many times God has intervened for your good and His glory. No matter how many angels there are in heaven, you can not trust in them to get you there – until you have trusted in the One who created them, Jesus. He said to everyone, ‘God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.’ John 3:16 Anyone can trust Jesus and tell Him from their heart, ‘Thank You, Jesus, for loving me. Thank You for paying for my sins when You died for them and rose again. I believe in angels, but I trust You. Amen’
