“Light in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.”
–Proverbs 15:30

You may have just found this article by chance, and you’re probably wondering what that verse has to do with you. Or you may be having a bad week, and wondering the same thing. Whatever your story is, I’d like you to continue reading, because God has something to say to you.

Let me explain what I mean by telling you a story from my own life. As a person who can’t see, I spent quite a few lonely days growing up. However, after I became a Christian, I realized how much God loves me. I was still lonely, but I found comfort from God’s word in the Bible. As I did this, I learned that God wanted to be my best friend, and help me in the midst of any problem. I learned that the good news of God’s love and friendship was mine for the asking. I also learned that God was using problems in my life as a way to bless me. God really wants to do the same thing for you, too. He wants to bless you by using these three T’s in your life.

The first T is “turn”. God wants to turn your eyes away from your problems and toward him. The Bible says that He will make a way where there seems to be no way. But you need to invite Him in, and seek Him above all things. None of us can do this on our own, but the good news is that we don’t have to. Ask Him to help you focus upon Him and His will, and He will gladly do this.

The second T is “time”. In order to have a truly great friendship with someone, you have to spend a lot of quality time with them. Your relationship with God must be built in the same way. Take a few minutes each day to pray and study God’s word. Worship Him, and ask Him for His will to be done in your life. In this way, you will find your life becoming more God-centered, and less controlled by problems.

The third T is “teach”. As you spend time with God and worship with other believers, God will begin to teach you. This teaching can occur in all kinds of ways. The solution to your prayers or a certain problem may occur to you out of nowhere, or a person or Bible verse may come along that happens to be exactly what you need at the moment. This teaching will allow you to experience God’s love more and more, and this love will become a firm foundation in your life.

While problems are just another part of life, God will give you the confidence and strength to face them. Let God work in your life, and you will discover the joy and comfort of His love for yourself!
